The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of large, high-profile regional accounts within the chemical industry, focusing on achieving revenue targets and maximizing adoption of AVEVA solutions. The role is expected to evolve into a people management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts in Mining or Oil & Gas sectors to achieve renewal, upsell, and growth.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level and operational stakeholders.
- Position AVEVA’s full portfolio to support enterprise-level digital transformation.
- Conduct consultative, value-based selling aligned with customer business objectives.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within accounts and new logos.
- Coordinate with Presales, Services, and Partners for solution delivery and adoption.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline management using salesforce.
- Represent AVEVA at industry events, customer meetings, and strategic reviews.
Essential Requirements
- Proven industrial software sales record, ideally 5+ years in enterprise platform selling.
- Experience in the mining industry with knowledge of operational/business drivers.
- Strong business acumen to articulate ROI and business value to senior stakeholders.
- Success in consultative, value selling with complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of AVEVA’s portfolio or similar industrial software solutions.
- Experience working with channel partners, distributors, and system integrators.
- Understanding asset-intensive industries such as energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC sales qualification and Salesforce proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Mining, Electronic, Electric, Process, Control).
Work location is Perth/Brisbane with 20-30% travel and employment type is full-time regular.
