Job Overview
- Execution of product and general ledger accounting and processing of month-end closure procedures
- Preparation of regulatory reports, Balance Sheet, P&L and processing of key controls and quality controls
- Managing the month-end intercompany reconciliation process for ledger
- Preparation of invoices, accruals, asset management activities, etc. (daily, monthly, quarterly, annually, and additional reporting requests as required)
- Creation of management information reports & dashboards
- Process improvement around Head Office accounting & reporting functions
- Ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards and ING financial reporting framework
- Project related Head Office reporting requirements
- Other ad hoc projects as requested
Key Responsibilities
- Financial, Management or Cost Accounting & Reporting: preparation and execution of product and general ledger entries, invoices, accruals, asset management activities, processing of monthly, quarterly & yearly closure procedures, creating management reports and dashboards, preparing regulatory reports, and accounting issue resolution.
- Policies and Procedures: ensure compliance with policies including group Standards of Practice and regular documentation refresh.
- Projects/Tasks: complete ad hoc projects assigned by Senior Management or business units.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: inform internal and external stakeholders about accounting & reporting deliverables, align turnaround times for remediation, gain approvals, coordinate and monitor remediation actions.
Key Capabilities/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; Master's degree and CPA certification desired
- Basic to proficient banking knowledge and product understanding
- Knowledge of IFRS and key financial markets/lending products
- Experience with UAT testing for system changes
- Time management and task ownership skills
- Strong communication skills and openness to ideas
- Comfortable working internationally, transparent, flexible, motivated

- Ensure business meets all accounting & reporting requirements
- Respond to ad hoc queries from head office and ensure deliverables
- Confirm accounting & reporting activities and deliverables for business and projects
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders fostering proactive partnerships
- Ownership of key deliverables and reconciliations
- Resolution of reporting/system issues preventing timely completions
- Ensure documentation and reporting requirements are met
- Respond to regulatory changes
- Escalate potential significant risks or financial losses
