Description:

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. The Acute Care Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, plan and implement effective physical therapy programs based on physical assessment, clinical judgment, and psychological sensitivity for inpatients and outpatients with diverse diagnoses. The role includes providing patient education, consultation, discharge planning, and supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical conditions and develop customized therapy plans.
• Implement therapy programs and monitor progress.
• Educate patients and provide consultations.
• Plan patient discharges effectively.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to assistants and technicians.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; Master's preferred.
• Current Illinois state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
