The Salvation Army delivers specialist family violence responses that prioritise the safety, dignity and empowerment of women and children while holding people who use violence accountable. The Alexis Family Violence Response Model (A‑FVRM) is a jointly designed initiative between The Salvation Army and Victoria Police, providing an integrated,risk‑informed,whole‑of‑familyresponse tohigh‑riskfamily violence. This role is critical in ensuring safe,high‑quality,evidence‑informedpractice across theNorth‑Westregion.
About the role
As theAlexisNorth‑WestTeam Leader, this is your opportunity to provide operational leadership, clinical supervision, and practice oversight for a multidisciplinary team delivering the Alexis Family Violence Response Model. You will guide practitioners working with both victim survivors (VS) and persons using violence (PUV), ensuringtimely,risk‑informedresponses and strong collaboration with the Family Violence Investigation Unit (FVIU) and sector partners.
Reporting to theSenior Manager – Integrated Men’s Services, this is fixed-term full-time position, contracted for 12 months, based onsite in Sunshine, VIC.
Conditions
Compensation isin accordance withthe Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Level 7.
How you will make an impact
Lead service delivery by overseeingday‑to‑dayA‑FVRM operations, ensuring inclusive,accessibleand responsive services forhigh‑riskclients.
Ensureevidence‑basedpractice through robust risk assessment, risk management, safetyplanningandaccountability‑focusedinterventions.
Provide team leadership & supervision including coaching, reflective practice, performancemanagementand practitioner capability development.
Manage risk, safety & quality by monitoring service risks, overseeing incident responses, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Strengthen partnerships through collaboration with Police, Courts, Child Protection, housing,healthand community organisations to support integrated pathways.
What you will bring
Tertiary qualifications inSocial Work, Psychology or equivalent, aligned with Mandatory Minimum Qualifications for Specialist Family Violence Practitioners.
Demonstrated experienceleading frontline family violence services, including supervision and operational management.
Specialist family violence practice capability, includingrisk assessment, risk management, safety planning, and interventions with both VS and PUV.
Strong liaison,negotiationand stakeholder engagement skills across multiple service systems.
Experience working withtrauma, complex risk, andhigh‑pressureenvironments.
ProficiencyinMicrosoft Officeand client management systems.
A currentWorkingWithChildren Check (Employee)
A current VictorianDriver’s Licence.
