Why this role matters
The Alexis Family Violence Response Model (A‑FVRM) is a jointly designed initiative between The Salvation Army and Victoria Police, providing an integrated, risk informed, whole‑of‑family response to high‑risk family violence incidents. This role is critical in ensuring timely, coordinated and trauma-informed interventions that reduce risk and strengthen safety for victim survivors.
About the role
As aSenior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (Victim Survivor), thisis your opportunity to provide intensive,short-term,trauma-informedinterventions to individuals and families experiencing family violence. Embedded within the Victoria Police Family Violence Investigation Unit (FVIU), you will contribute to a unified,real‑time,multidisciplinaryresponse that prioritises safety, stabilises crisis, and mitigates systemic risk.
Reporting to theTeam Leader,this is afixed-term full-timeposition, contracted for 12 months,locatedonsiteinFrankston, VIC.
Conditions
Compensation isin accordance withtheSocial, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Level6.
