KGW is looking for creative, driven and curious candidates for a hybrid anchor/reporter position. This employee will anchor our weekend morning newscasts, plus report three days a week for our morning newscast.
The ideal candidate for this job will embrace both the reporting and anchoring aspects of this job. On the anchoring side, we want someone who brings authenticity and energy to the newscast. On the reporting side, we want someone who isnt afraid to jump into the lead story, ask smart questions and get creative with their storytelling.
As a morning reporter, you must embrace the challenge and excitement of breaking news. You will also have opportunities to pitch and produce original stories tailored for our morning audience.
Reporters on KGWs morning show work with a photographer most days but will occasionally be asked to shoot and edit their own stories. Your reel should demonstrate strong shooting and editing skills.
Our ideal candidate will also be excited about the opportunity to reach audiences on social and digital platforms. Our reporters and anchors are all required to regularly produce vertical mobile videos. Your reel and resume should include examples of vertical videos that you produced.

This role is a full-time, non-exempt position represented by SAG-AFTRA. The position will include weekend and morning shifts.
