Promotes transition from student to beginning practitioner role through intensive practice in a selected practice area of interest to the student. Final clinical course emphasizing integration and synthesis of previously acquired knowledge and skill, and application of theory and research to nursing practice.
Experience developing learning contracts. Demonstrated conflict resolution, oral/written communication skills.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements (Faculty)

B.Sc.N. with minimum of 5 years of clinical experience. Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal relationships. Ease in adapting to the work schedules of the student and their preceptor.

Condition of Employment

Current registration as RN or NP in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

Course Schedule:

Clinical course from Monday to Friday (possible weekends) from January 15 to April 14, 2027 (subject to changes and approval). Day and/or evening shifts. Final presentations on April 9, 2027.

Additional Comments for Posting

Applicant cannot be teaching the same course during the same semester as they are coordinating.
Previous experience as a clinical instructor preferred.

We will extend the end date on the contract to allow time to complete the on-line students’ evaluation. Participation at team meetings is mandatory (dates to be determined).
