What you'll do:
Assemble, Inspect, Pack, Test and Audit electrical switch gear to manufacturing requirements whilst achieving Quality and Productivity targets. Align to the specific Skill Band criteria for role.
Ensure tasks and output are to acceptable standards in accordance with the company policy and procedures.Undertake product auditing throughout general assembly. (Skill Band 2>)Demonstrate an awareness of orders and dates to meet delivery times and customer requirementsDemonstrate initiative and flexibility to ensure smooth and efficient running of department.Observe and adopt safe working practices in accordance with Company health and safety policy and all relevant health and safety legislation; i.e. HASAWA 1974 etcAchieve MTM & SPC targets where appliciableUndertake training necessary for development as agreed with Supervisors/Team LeaderCommunicate problems affecting role or responsibilities to Supervisors/Team Leader.Ensure workarea is to clean & tidy at all times adhere to 5s+ standardsUndertake any other reasonable duties as directed.Skills:Quality control awareness - Knowledge of standards, tolerances, and how to ensure products meet specifications
Use of tools and equipment - Competence with hand tools, torque tools, testing devices, etc.
Understanding of MTM/SPC - Basic familiarity with time measurement (Method Time Measurement) and statistical process control to maintain productivity and quality
Electrical assembly skills - Ability to follow work instructions and SOPs to correctly assemble switchgear components
Health & Safety Awareness - Basic understanding of workplace safety rules, following instructions, using PPE, and keeping the work area safe and tidy.
