The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is seeking an Assistant Manager for IT Services responsible for effective operations, compliance, and projects related to core IT services that support the school's mission.
Responsibilities:
- Manage cloud services portfolio and projects in alignment with IT strategy.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, redesign, or process improvement.
- Monitor system health and performance using key metrics for cloud services and IT systems.
- Provide administrative and operational support in collaboration with vendors and teammates.
- Partner with stakeholders and IT management to set roadmaps and business processes.
- Analyze stakeholder needs for enhancement and operation of cloud services and IT systems.
- Promote a strong technical culture emphasizing excellence, security, and user experience.
- Manage maintenance, outsourcing, and contract agreements ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Provide regular updates on projects and operational matters related to cloud and IT systems.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing policies and procedures for cloud services and IT systems.
- Implement compliance monitoring for policies related to cloud and IT systems.
- Participate in budgeting for cloud services projects and operations.
- Prepare cloud services and IT systems for audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with a minimum of 3 years experience, including 1 year in cloud service and IT systems support roles.
- Experience managing outsourced partners/vendors.
- Strong teamwork, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to learn independently.
- Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of agile methodologies and IT project delivery.
- Experience in cloud and system administration and stakeholder engagement.
- Programming skills in PHP, Javascript or similar.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products.
- Preferably certified or knowledgeable in cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Experience deploying AI applications or models on AWS or other cloud providers is advantageous.
