Automotive Maintenance Technician

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is part of Bridgestone Americas and operates over 2,200 company-owned stores specializing in tire and auto services. This entry-level Maintenance Technician role is a vital part of the vehicle servicing team at Firestone Complete Auto Care. Job responsibilities include learning to diagnose and repair automotive systems such as brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical systems. Technicians also perform oil changes, scheduled maintenance services, tire maintenance, battery installation, shock absorber installation, electrical system checks, and vehicle road tests.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical systems
• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services
• Install and maintain tires
• Install batteries and shock absorbers and check electrical systems
• Road test vehicles

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles
• Preferred experience in automotive service industry
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
