Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cabin Installerto join our team in Mobile, Alabama.
You will be part of a team assembling and installing interior furnishings and equipment. As part of the Cabin Installer team, you will be involved in specialized areas including cabin equipment, floor covering, the cockpit, cargo, and aircraft doors, ensuring that every assembly meets our rigorous quality and safety standards for customer acceptance.

Your Working Environment:
On ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your Challenges:
Installation: Assemble and install interior furnishings and equipment, including galleys, toilets, floor covering, cockpit components, and doors.
Systems Integration: Perform installation and testing of electrical units and components.
Component Preparation: Execute manufacturing tasks including marking, connecting, assembling, bundling, painting, fitting, torquing, bonding, attaching, and positioning parts.
Quality Control: Inspect the work of team members and verify complete systems prior to customer acceptance; maintain legible and accurate documentation.
Efficiency: Identify and implement methods to eliminate disruptions and reduce rework.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including strict adherence to OSHA regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Your Boarding Pass:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Aviation Production or an equivalent heavy industry (e.g., Shipbuilding, Heavy Machinery, Automotive Manufacturing, Military Aviation, or MRO).
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torquing tools.
Computer Skills: Ability to enter, generate, and retrieve information using a computer, specifically SAP and Excel.
Citizenship: US citizenship is required.
Training: Must be able to successfully complete all Airbus-provided training, including Health & Safety, General Aircraft Familiarization, and Quality Assurance.
Physical Requirements:
Mobility: Ability to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces; sit, stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift and carry documents, tools, and equipment up to 30 lbs.
Heights: Ability to work at heights of approximately 40 feet on various platforms and lifts.
Confined Spaces: Ability to enter/exit 12" x 22" passages and work within confined spaces while using a respirator.
Travel: Ability to travel (approximately 5% international and domestic).
