The CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver will safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer, manually unload and deliver various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers are expected to build relationships with customers using a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet their needs and expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Able to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate effectively and understand highway signs
- Physically able to lift, push, or move freight averaging 40-60 pounds, up to 100 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of customer delivery experience
- Six months of experience with hand cart/hand truck use
- Six months of food and beverage industry experience
- Two years of consistent work history
