Major Responsibilities:
- Oversees pharmaceutical care including evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
- Provides patient education and counseling on medication therapy, adverse effects, and compliance.
- Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens.
- Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
- Participates in medical emergency management when applicable.
- Supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
- Performs quality assurance and performance improvement of medication use system.
- Collaborates with healthcare team for formulary adherence and medication-use process.
- Practices compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.
- Prepares, dispenses, and oversees proper medication storage and handling.
- Serves as preceptor for pharmacy students, residents, and healthcare learners.
- Mentors and evaluates pharmacy teammates and students.
- Directs pharmacy support team members to ensure safe and efficient workflows.
Licensed pharmacist with bachelor's or doctorate degree from accredited pharmacy school, immunization certification, and no prior experience required.
Schedule split between on-site location and floating, includes some weekends and holidays; full-time position with 40 hours/week.
