General Purpose: The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the residents assessment and care plan, and as directed by supervisors.
Essential Duties:
- Identify residents using wristband or photo card before administering treatments or serving meals.
- Use only authorized abbreviations for recording information.
- Report changes in resident condition and incidents promptly to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of resident information.
- Assist residents with daily functions such as dental care, bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Perform nursing care procedures trained for, including measuring vital signs and recording food/fluid intake.
- Create and maintain a warm, calm environment; greet and escort residents, help with personal possessions.
- Follow policies for exposure to blood/body fluids and report occupational exposures.
- Assist in preparing residents for medical tests and physical examinations.
- Report allegations of abuse, injuries, or defective equipment appropriately.
Supervisory Requirements: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualification:
- Education: Minimum 10th grade education required.
- Licenses: Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) as per state laws; CPR preferred.
- Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend business and technical information; apply basic math concepts; problem solve; and interpret instructions.
Physical Demands: Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds; regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, and use of office equipment.
Work Environment: Noise level usually low to moderate; accommodations available for disabilities.
