General Purpose: The primary purpose of this part-time position is to provide each assigned resident with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, under the direction of supervisors.
Essential Duties Include:
- Identify residents using wristbands or photo cards before treatments or meals.
- Use authorized abbreviations when recording information.
- Report changes in resident conditions to supervisors promptly.
- Maintain accurate and informative records on flow sheets, charts, etc.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or violations of confidentiality.
- Perform only trained nursing care procedures and assist residents with comfort and personal belongings.
- Assist in residents' transport and prepare rooms for new admissions.
- Communicate with residents, nursing personnel, and other departments to improve services.
- Follow policies regarding exposure to blood/body fluids.
- Measure and record vital signs and assist with resident's personal care.
- Report resident complaints, grievances, and accidents.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any unauthorized disclosures.
- Assist with lifting, positioning, transportation, and restorative procedures as instructed.
- Observe residents for health issues, report findings, and respond to emergencies.
- Comply with licensing requirements and maintain CPR certification as preferred.
- Meet physical demands including occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and working in a low to moderate noise environment.
Qualifications: Minimum 10th grade education; must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant as per state laws; CPR preferred.
