SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As a Coating Advisor, you will be the technical expert supporting our customers directly at their sites. Your role is to ensure flawless paint application and thorough inspection, guaranteeing that every coating meets specification and contract standards. By delivering hands-on guidance and professional advice, you’ll help ensure project success and customer satisfaction.

The position is based at Mumbai, Maharashtra and will be reporting to Manager - Technical Services.

Responsibilities:

Provide clear guidance to clients and Jotun staff on proper paint application at site to ensure the coating specification and customer expectations are met.
Work independently on site with client representatives to ensure correct application practices.
Support the Technical Services Manager by training and mentoring Junior Coating Advisors to help them work independently.
Manage projects involving advanced products by following specific procedures and clearly instructing all parties to meet specifications and customer expectations.
Conduct site inspections independently as assigned, following ITPs and standard working procedures.
Prepare accurate inspection and project reports to confirm that specification requirements have been met.

Qualifications & Experience

A graduate in any field with at least 5 years of experience in roles such as Quality Controller, Coating Applicator, or Coating Advisor—ideally in protective coatings.
Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
Comfortable using MS Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Holds a relevant industry certification such as FROSIO Level III (Red), NACE Level 2, or an equivalent.

Good to Have

Hands-on experience in coating inspection and application processes.
Familiarity with international coating standards and specifications.
Ability to work independently at customer sites and ensure compliance with contract and technical requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and deliver technical advice effectively.
