The Role
As an HGV Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering Heidelberg Materials products safely, efficiently, and professionally while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and compliance.
You'll be trusted to represent the company on customer sites, ensuring every delivery is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
What You'll Be Doing
Safely deliver Heidelberg Materials products to customers.
Operate specialist vehicles including:
Tippers
Concrete Mixers
Walking Floor Vehicles
Rolling Floor Vehicles
Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition.
Complete all vehicle records and documentation in line with company and legal requirements.
Maintain full compliance with:
Health & Safety legislation
Road Transport Law
Working Time Directive regulations
Company policies and procedures
Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point.
Follow environmental procedures relating to waste, water discharge, and dust control.
Support operational requirements through flexibility in working locations and overnight stays when required.
Attend training and development programmes to meet customer and business requirements.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Valid HGV Licence.
CPC qualification.
Digital Tachograph Card.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Professional and courteous approach.
Ability to work flexibly, including overnight stays when required.
Reliable, self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Desirable
Experience operating specialist vehicles such as tippers, concrete mixers, walking floors or rolling floors.
Experience within construction materials, aggregates, concrete, or logistics sectors.
Knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
