In this role, you'll be responsible for selecting and applying control devices, documenting their operational functionality, and creating clear, detailed drawing packages for electrical installation and assembly manufacturing.

Tasks and Qualifications:
- Interpret design input information to produce control system designs.
- Ensure systems designed and supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
- Produce design and manufacturing programmes.
- Produce associated documentation including design calculations, design specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.
- Design and produce electrical layout and schematic drawings using CAD tools.
- Procure electrical control panels and field devices; liaise with suppliers on technical matters.
- Provide technical information and liaise with internal teams like electrical installation supervisors, subcontractors, project teams, and purchasing department.
- Provide technical backup to the service team including bug fixes, enhancements, and modifications.
- Proven experience as Controls Hardware Engineer or similar role.
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering is essential; degree level education in relevant discipline is desirable.
- Extensive hands-on experience in industrial automation environment.
- Experience with E-Plan, AutoCAD, MS Package.
- Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
- Knowledge of distributed control systems and industrial networks.
- Understanding of Machinery Directive and harmonised standards; experience in FEM and BS standards preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within Northern Europe and occasionally to other Dematic offices.
