What you will do:
Under direct supervision and using established standards, be responsible for hardware designs and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet project requirements. Provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls installation team, and subcontractors. Respond to basic warranty calls.
How you will do it:
- Select hardware designs from standard design library for flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
- Perform software programming using established standards.
- Coordinate creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
- Select, order, and track delivery of materials. Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet schedules.
- Assist in loading and commissioning system and network-level controllers. Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues.
- Gather field changes and create as-built drawings and software. Prepare documentation and manuals for system operation.
- Keep management and contractors informed of progress and issues.
- Assist in site-specific training for owner/operator on total system.
- Complete paperwork including timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Adhere to safety standards with high regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
What we look for:
Required
- Minimum three years experience installing and/or commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems including system-level controllers and use of Metasys Tools: RAC schedule, CCT, SCT, Visio.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Technical aptitude and advanced computer skills, particularly drafting tools.
Preferred
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or 5+ years in HVAC field.
- Experience in installing, commissioning controls systems or designing/evaluating mechanical/electrical building or control systems.
Hiring hourly range: $30-$43, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, location, and market data. Position includes competitive benefits package.
