The Role
A Cook is responsible for food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to customer-facing employees for service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving and storing all food deliveries following FIFO (First In First Out) method.
- Label and date all food items upon receiving to enforce FIFO and ensure product rotation.
- Notify manager or Chef of any expired products.
- Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
- Report on time for scheduled events and perform assigned duties timely and safely using correct recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Adapt to flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; culinary arts degree or certificate preferred.
- Two to four years experience in fast-paced food service environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain cleanliness.
- Basic English reading and speaking abilities.
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, and work in close quarters.
Pay rate: Starting at $20.00/hr.
