About this Role:
Gartner for HR Leaders is hiring for a growth focused Business Development Executive to join a high-performing team. The role involves strategically acquiring new clients by cultivating trust-based relationships with C-level executives, driving the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure and transitioning new accounts to account management. The focus is on expanding Gartner's presence in the DACH territory targeting Large-Enterprise organizations with over $1 billion in annual revenue.
What you will do:
- Seek out and drive new business opportunities in your assigned DACH territory from initial outreach to close.
- Convert prospects into active clients, owning sales conversations, negotiations, and transitioning clients to account management.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and KPIs.
- Take quota responsibility for the assigned territory.
- Manage complex, high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.
- Own forecasting and account planning periodically.
What you will need:
- 5+ years B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments.
- Experience selling to the DACH region required.
- German language proficiency desirable.
- Business development or new-client acquisition experience in a sales role.
- Experience selling to or influencing C-level executives.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to manage and forecast complex sales processes precisely.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
