The Disney Entertainment Digital Marketing Center of Excellence Audience Strategy & Community Team is responsible for developing fan-first editorial, social engagement, and creator strategies across flagship brand platforms representing Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney+, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures.
This team manages community engagement, UGC and creator sourcing, campaign execution, and digital cultural relevance through deep audience connection and integration into wider digital storytelling workflows.
This role offers a unique opportunity to build community and bring the fan voice to life across some of the world's most beloved entertainment brands. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be collaborative, creative, and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of digital and emerging platforms and their communities. Responsibilities include community engagement programming, copywriting, tracking digital trends, managing UGC, creator content, and collaborating with multiple internal and external partners.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain community engagement calendar across platforms.
- Execute daily engagement tactics including outreach and UGC sourcing.
- Collaborate on new engagement concepts and manage content approvals.
- Write engagement-focused copy aligned with brand goals.
- Stay updated on digital trends and fan behaviors to inform strategy.
- Manage UGC and creator content approvals and delivery.
- Collaborate with brand teams for amplification and support of priorities.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years social media or community management experience in consumer-facing media or global brand.
- Strong writing and copyediting skills with brand voice understanding.
- Familiarity with digital trends, fandom culture, and social platform best practices.
- Experience managing editorial calendars and approval workflows.
- Knowledge of social platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- BA or BS in Journalism, Film, Marketing, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AirTable, Smartsheets, Zendesk, Sprinklr, Creator Studio, Keynote, or Google Slides.
- Experience within brand entertainment marketing and/or streaming services.
- Familiarity with theatrical campaign marketing and streaming platforms.
The hiring range in California is $64,300 to $86,200 per year, with possible bonuses and benefits.
