
This is what you will do:
TheDirector, Biostatistics has sufficient experience in the pharmaceutical industry to independently lead a biostatistics team to deliver project and/or technical level activities related to design, delivery and interpretation, high level internal governancecommitteesand/or regulatory submissions. This individualis able tolead, perform and communicate results of more technical analyses, and able to guide and lead less experienced staff. Competent individual contributor with excellent cross-functional collaboration.
You willbe responsible for:
To lead, manage and develop a group of statisticians
Lead the statistical design and strategy to product development plans, preclinical studies, regulatory strategy, health technologyassessmentand/or commercial activities asappropriate forthe stage of the product
Lead the statistical content and ensure quality for study designs, documents,delivery and interpretationand submission
Quantify the benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of the emerging product profile and can communicate these effectively within the team
Provide global leadership to others and direct project work delivered by internal and external staff
Partner with CROs to ensure delivery to quality and time
Represent Alexion externally which may include health authorities, advisory boards, conferences,workshopsand/or payer interactions
Maintain knowledge of statisticalmethodologyin relevant areas and promote, investigate, and implement novel statistical approaches
Represent statistical strategy and decision making at internal decision-making governance including review boards, therapy area leadershipteamsand ESPC/LSPC
Mentor/coach and support the technical education and training of biostatistics staff
Work according to agreed functional andregional Safety,Healthand Environment (SHE) strategyby ensuring proper managementof SHE risks, incidents, reporting,follow-upand improvements
You will need to have:
7 years’ experience with anMSc/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics (containingasubstantialstatisticalcomponent), or recognized equivalent to stats MSc
Track recordof background in leading independently
Exemplary technical skills
Flexible, well-organized, andpossessthe ability to work well under pressure.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $188,279.20 - $282,418.80 USD. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
