Job Summary
As Director of AI & ML, you will define and execute the enterprise-wide AI strategy, oversee development and integration of AI/ML initiatives to drive efficiency and innovation across the company, collaborating across departments and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and lead AI strategy aligned to digital transformation; champion AI use cases across business functions; drive AI adoption and digital innovation; collaborate with executives on AI-driven business models.
- Program Oversight & Execution: Manage AI/ML initiatives portfolio; ensure governance, compliance, ethical AI; establish KPIs and monitor ROI; manage vendor relationships.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development: Build and mentor a high-performing AI team; foster culture of experimentation and innovation; support AI literacy across enterprise.
- Architecture, Data & Technology: Partner with technical teams to ensure scalable AI infrastructure; champion MLOps and responsible AI principles; stay updated on emerging AI trends.
Position Requirements
- 10+ years experience in data platforms, AI, ML or analytics, including 5+ years senior leadership/strategy role.
- Proven delivery of AI solutions driving measurable business value.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks), AI/ML tools (PySpark, Ragas, mlflow, LangChain).
- Knowledge in supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, deep learning, generative AI.
- Strong enterprise IT, data governance, architecture, security standards understanding.
- Excellent communication and strategic collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Responsible AI framework implementation or regulated industries experience (healthcare, finance, insurance).
- Familiarity with AI compliance (GDPR, CPRA) and explainable AI practices.
- Experience with generative AI integrations, e.g., large language models in enterprise workflows.
