Leads overall manufacturing operations for assigned facility including machining, fabricating, assembling, processing, and related functions. Responsible for forecasting, developing, implementing, and administering plans for efficient facilities, staffing, and material utilization.
Essential Functions
- Lead manufacturing operations ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
- Develop plant-specific strategies aligned with corporate manufacturing strategies.
- Achieve high customer service and delivery reliability amidst variable demand and product variation.
- Maintain high quality standards and introduce improvement initiatives.
- Promote safety culture to ensure accident-free environment.
- Drive employee engagement using open communication and feedback.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality employee experience.
- Coach and mentor team members, delegate workloads, and build development plans.
- Delegate authority to supervisors across production and related functions.
- Ensure objectives are met on time, within budget, and quality requirements.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field; Master's preferred. Significant operational experience may substitute for degree.
- 10+ years in progressively responsible production management roles, especially with variable products and short lead times.
- 5+ years management experience.
- Strong change management, leadership, coaching, communication, and strategic execution skills.
- Ability to work in complex matrixed environments and use office automation tools.
