Distribution Center Warehouse Associate - Equipment Operator (1st Shift)

Ferguson is currently seeking 1st Shift Warehouse Associate Equipment Operators for our Lebanon, TN distribution center! If you have familiarity and experience with warehousing, shipping and/or receiving, coupled with a dedication to quality, this is the position for you!

1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday (6:30AM or 8:00AM start time, depending on job responsibilities)

Qualifications

• Prior experience in putaway, picking, and/or loading preferred
• Strong work ethic
• Material handling equipment experience preferred but not required
• Drive to excel in fast-paced environment
• Ability to accurately and safely complete picking and/or storage tasks via operation of powered industrial equipment including stand-up high lift, reach trucks or dock stockers
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
• Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing and/or walking for up to 12 hours
• Ability to work overtime hours in addition to regular shift hours, based on business need

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment, including but not limited to stand-up forklifts, in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures
• Accurately pick product quantities or store product in assigned locations
• Assemble containers and maintain supplies in an organized manner
• Effectively communicate with associates and display teamwork in completing task assignments
• Maintain inventory integrity and product safety at all times
• Execute tasks utilizing hand-held RF units / scanners and/or voice devices
• Follow all established standard operating procedures for given task areas
• Accurately sort, label, and store picked product safely in containers or on pallet
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management
• Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization
