Dow is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Manager to act as an Owners Representative providing direct support on the electrical scope of the Project Long Mott, a Small Modular Nuclear Reactor power plant project located in Seadrift, Texas. The role involves detailed knowledge of electrical technology, ensuring the implementation of the best technology by integrating input from Plant Operations, Manufacturing Engineering & Technology (MET), and Maintenance and Reliability into design and construction phases. Frequent travel to project sites and equipment suppliers is required.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze electrical balance of plant design to ensure reliability and support detail design development.
- Integrate input from plant operations, maintenance, and reliability into design definitions.
- Maintain technical integrity and operability of electrical aspects in the facility.
- Coordinate interfaces among manufacturing representatives, plant operations, third-party owners, and design teams.
- Implement Most Effective Technology (MET), Loss Prevention Principles (LPP), and Energy Technology Center requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate between project team and Operations.
- Schedule and manage technical reviews involving project team, Operations, and Energy Technology Center SMEs.
- Manage interfaces between Power Plant electrical balance of plant and Electrical Distribution.
- Ensure safe and effective commissioning, startup, and transfer to Operations, delivering trained organization and updated operating discipline.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above U.S. E6 ranking/Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.
- Minimum 6 years engineering, manufacturing or related experience.
- Legal ability to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
- Willingness to travel to support project development.
