Leidos is seeking an Energy Advisor to join our Hawaii Energy program teams efforts in empowering our community to achieve the state's clean energy goals.

The Challenge:
Exciting opportunity to join a team of Energy Advisors (EA) executing Hawaii Energy's incentive programs and advisory services to businesses to accelerate the implementation of energy efficiency projects. The EA will work closely with key customers to overcome barriers to implementing energy efficiency projects. The EA will be responsible for developing customer and contractor relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to electric customers to drive the early adoption of energy efficiency and conservation measures.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as a trusted Energy Advisor for commercial customers looking to participate in energy efficiency, energy conservation, and energy management.
- Become a subject matter expert on Hawaii Energy's programs and processes, energy-efficient technologies, energy management, and energy industry trends.
- Assist commercial customers in identifying energy efficiency and conservation opportunities at their facilities through calls, site visits, and utility/other data analyses in coordination with the internal engineering team.
- Promote Hawaii Energy's programs through outreach and relationship-building with customers, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify barriers to participation and develop solutions to increase program participation.
- Coordinate and conduct trainings and presentations on Hawaii Energy programs, incentives, or related topics.
- Utilize Salesforce for tracking projects and customer engagement.
- Collect and prepare documentation for incentives including conducting inspections to verify energy efficiency installations.
- Occasional travel to neighbor islands and working on nights and weekends at public events may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).
- Basic understanding of the energy industry with ability to become subject matter expert.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Client-first attitude with demonstrated experience managing relationships and driving business outcomes.
- Self-starter able to manage multiple projects.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle for site visits.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related sciences.
- Passion for Hawaii Energy mission.
- Experience with energy modeling and simulation.
- Relevant certifications such as CEM or LEED AP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, data analytics, and other office tools.
