We seek an Engineer 3, Software Development and Engineering to plan and design new software and web applications, analyze and test integration, and document development activities. This role involves collaborating with project stakeholders, designing and supporting applications, training non-technical personnel, writing technical documentation, mentoring junior engineers, and working with Quality Assurance teams to ensure specification compliance.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and conduct integration analysis.
- Design new software and web applications; support development and customize current applications; assist with software updates and roll-outs.
- Participate in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
- Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal reports.
- Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review relevant literature and patents.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the design process; mentor junior software development engineers.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to verify applications meet specifications and requirements.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, application of process design/redesign skills, and project management.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; able to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but combinations of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience considered. Relevant experience: 5-7 years.
