【Finance】Pricing Group Director

Lead Pricing Group to achieve successful pricing outcome for new drug listing and price revision.

Support group members activities and develop members capabilities.

Lead strategic price negotiation on responsible products with MHLW and manage preparation for the negotiation.

Assess price potential of pipeline products under close collaboration with Market Access group.

Contribute to business planning with insightful analysis on healthcare & pricing environment change through close monitoring of discussion at Government councils and pricing tendency.

Collaborate with other departments to gain support for optimal pricing based on pricing strategy.

Collaborate with Global Pricing & Market Access team in order to align the pricing strategy, and gain support from global team as needed basis.

Build strong relationship with MHLW officials and leverage it to maximize pricing outcome.

Lead industry discussions on pricing system reform through trade association activities.

Qualification (Experience & Skill etc.)

Experience

• Leading negotiations with MHLW in terms of new drug pricing.
• Working to develop assumptions on new drug prices/price forecast on the future.
• Working with members from other companies on the activities in trade associations.
• Working in a multi-national pharmaceutical company.

Nice to have:

• Leading a team as a manager
• Experience of cost-effectiveness assessment

License

• Bachelors degree in relevant field (Marketing, Science, Economics or pharmacists, etc.)

Nice to have:

• Pharmacist license
• Medical license

Skill-set

• Excellent knowledge of healthcare business and NHI pricing regulations in Japan.
• Interpersonal and communication / persuasion skills with ability to influence others without authority
• Strong analytical ability
• Strong leadership capability

Nice to have:

• Excellent PC skills
• Clinical Development Knowledge
• Familiarity with operating in Global business

Language

• Japanese Fluent Level (verbal and written)
• English Business Level (verbal and written)
