Collins Aerospace is seeking Flight Test Mechanics to support the G400 Flight Test program in Savannah, Georgia, working onsite at their Savannah, GA facility. The role involves performing nacelle structural retrofits, repairs, and rework for hardware, assembly operations, fabricating sheet metal, reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and participating in compliance and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and rework on nacelle products including Inlet Cowls, Fan Cowls, Thrust Reversers, Aprons, and Engine Build Up.
- Assemble and fabricate sheet metal components.
- Read and follow blueprints and instructions, conduct basic math calculations.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and participate in compliance and CI activities.
- Use various hand tools, drills, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Drill holes, install fasteners, trim parts, apply primers and sealants.
Qualifications
- AA/AS degree or 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
- 4+ years in manufacturing, assembly, or construction/facilities.
- Experience with hand and electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and blueprints.
- Prior aircraft manufacturing or operations experience preferred.
- Ability to handle sealants, solvents, paints, and chemicals safely.
- Physical ability to work in various conditions including on ladders and above head height.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel up to 10%.

The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $100,000 USD annually.
