Job Summary
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the Jabil, Inc. warehouse or production facility, ensuring accurate inventory management and supporting operational flow.
Job Responsibilities
Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and stage products for production or shipment.
Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and other equipment, documenting any defects or maintenance needs.
Ensure accurate documentation of material movements, including inventory transfers, cycle counts, and receiving/shipping records.
Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are stored safely.
Assist with inventory control activities, including counting, labeling, and verifying materials.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize material flow and meet production schedules.
Report any spills, damaged products, or safety hazards immediately to a supervisor.
May be required to perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Proficient in safe forklift operation and adherence to safety protocols.
Ability to read and understand work orders, inventory tags, and safety instructions.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking systems (e.g., SAP).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
