The Firmwide Control Management mission is to solidify an effective control framework within and across the lines of business by identifying and remediating control issues with a sense of urgency, regardless of the source. The Firmwide Control Management team will work collaboratively with other control disciplines and will oversee existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols. This process will enable the firm to engage the appropriate teams in a timely manner and provide the ability to quickly remediate critical control issues across all the impacted areas of the firm.
The Controls Room, a critical component of the Firmwide Control Management organization, functions as a controls reporting and analytics utility for the Firm. Its mission is to provide meaningful management information that will facilitate decision making.
The Data Visualization/Automation team is an integral part of the Controls Management group and is dedicated to developing and delivering standardized Firmwide Operational Risk reporting dashboards with an emphasis on speed, efficiency, and precision. Our mission is to furnish insightful management information that empowers informed decision-making, strengthens control oversight, and enhances operational efficiency through consistent and standardized reporting dashboards.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop interactive dashboards in Tableau, Qlik or similar tools
- Design and build automated workflows using tools like Alteryx
- Integrate disparate systems, connect APIs, databases, flat files to streamline data flows
- Troubleshoot and optimize failures, fine-tune performance, and refactor code for scalability
- Extract source data from SQL, cloud storage, and APIs
- Data cleansing and validation by applying business rules, handle missing or inconsistent values, and enforce data quality
- Translate complex datasets into intuitive charts, KPIs and narrative insights
- Engage with Product Owners to capture automation and reporting needs
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation
- Prototype new tools and patterns, experiment with emerging platforms
- Knowledge in Python, ThoughtSpot, UiPath is desirable.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related quantitative field
- 5+ years' experience in Tableau dashboarding and Alteryx ETL
- Familiarity with QlikView/Qlik Sense and Big Data (Hadoop) a plus
- Banking operational risk experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving, adaptability and attention to detail
- Excellent time management, communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and confident attitude
