HSE Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an HSE Manager that will report to the Site Director and will form a crucial part of the Site Leadership Team. They will have responsibility for all HSE activities across site developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE internal policies and legislation.

You will:

• Act as the site expert and advisor on all Health, Safety & Environment matters.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards.
• Challenge and support the management team to ensure effective implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and systems.
• Drive a proactive Safety Culture, across all levels of the organization, influencing behaviors, ensuring employees always operate safely and responsibly.
• Develop, review, and continuously improve safe systems of work, ensuring risks are properly identified and mitigated.
• Manage and support the development of the HSE Technician, ensuring capability building within the team.

What do we expect from you?

• Minimum 5/8 years of experience in a HSE role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Masters degree in engineering or a related field.
• Certified Safety professional (Level 6/7 or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices, with the ability to translate them into operational reality.
• Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, from shopfloor to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in building and embedding a strong safety culture.
• Hands-on, proactive, and resilient mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
