The role of India Co Head and Head of Finance Operations involves leading the India leadership and strategy, overseeing the Finance Shared Service Centre (SSC), driving people and culture initiatives, and ensuring governance, conduct, and risk management within the organization.
India Leadership & Strategy
- Strengthen and leverage talent and capabilities in Hyderabad to optimize the operating model.
- Define and evolve India capabilities to meet business needs, incubate new capabilities and transition work to India.
- Establish governance processes and coordinate with senior global leaders.
- Identify problems and opportunities, facilitating discussions for local policymaking.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships across regions and functions.
- Co-chair Invesco Leadership Team (ILT) and India Operating Council.
- Work with global leaders to ensure financial support for goals.
Finance Shared Service Centre (SSC)
- Lead and manage a high-performance team of 180+ FTEs.
- Provide strategic direction focusing on continuous improvement, technology integration, and process automation.
- Ensure delivery of quality outcomes meeting cost and performance metrics.
- Drive collaboration within Finance SSC and co-located functions.
- Engage stakeholders ensuring service satisfaction.
- Define and evolve Finance capabilities and drive accountability and adherence to policies.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a best-in-class Finance SSC team.
- Promote learning and development, campus initiatives, and a One Team culture.
People & Culture
- Drive collaboration and teamwork across functions.
- Cultivate high-performing teams and recognize achievements.
- Mentor functional heads and contribute to succession planning.
- Participate in entity-level events and promote employee networking and skills enhancement.
Governance, Conduct & Risk
- Establish governance framework and review local regulatory documents.
- Chair or participate in Risk Management and other committees.
- Serve as Director of the Board ensuring transparent review of financials and risks.
- Promote company Code of Conduct, ethics, integrity, and corporate social responsibility.
- Lead by example in adherence to laws, standards, and policies.
Experience and Qualifications
- 20+ years experience, including leading multi-function SSCs, preferably in Financial Services or Asset Management.
- Strong hands-on experience in Finance and Accounting domains and processes.
- Proven success in transformation and change management in complex global organizations.
- Experienced leader and people manager with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of Indian labor market and local nuances.
- Preferred qualifications: Post-graduate degree (MBA, Finance), Chartered Accountant or CPA with US GAAP knowledge.
Work Arrangement
Full-time role with a hybrid workplace model requiring at least three days in office per week.
