Indirect Procurement Category Manager

Position Summary

The Indirect Procurement Category Manager will have comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, strong negotiation skills, and proven success in category management strategies. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, they oversee sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities across assigned spend categories.

Job Description

• Identify Sourcing Opportunities: Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier landscapes to find sourcing opportunities.
• Conduct Market Research: Gather market intelligence on industry trends, supplier capabilities, pricing, and emerging technologies.
• Supplier Evaluation & Selection: Assess suppliers on financial stability, quality, capacity, delivery, and strategic alignment.
• Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance.
• Total Cost Analysis: Analyze direct and indirect costs including transportation and inventory.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Foster collaborative supplier relationships to address performance and cost-saving opportunities.
• Supply Chain Risk Assessment: Identify risks and develop strategies to ensure supply continuity.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Optimize procurement processes by implementing best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, legal, quality, regulatory, and sales teams.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track KPIs such as cost savings, quality improvements, and delivery reliability.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years related experience.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:

Employee must perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, using hands, and computer operation. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is required. May require regulatory licenses and background checks due to gaming industry regulations.
