L’infirmier(ère) en perfusion est responsable d’offrir des soins infirmiers de haute qualité, centrés sur le patient, par l’administration de médicaments spécialisés par voie intraveineuse et injectable, y compris les produits biologiques, dans un environnement de clinique ambulatoire. Ce que vous ferez

• Effectuer des évaluations prétraitement des patients, incluant la revue des contre‑indications, des antécédents médicaux et de l’admissibilité au traitement

• Initier et gérer l’accès intraveineux périphérique ainsi que l’accès aux cathéters centraux en utilisant une technique stérile et les meilleures pratiques

• Préparer, manipuler et administrer des médicaments spécialisés par voie intraveineuse et injectable conformément aux directives du fabricant, de Santé Canada et de l’ordre professionnel infirmier

• Surveiller les patients pendant et après les perfusions, et reconnaître et gérer les effets indésirables conformément aux directives médicales

• Documenter avec exactitude toutes les activités de soins aux patients dans les dossiers médicaux électroniques et les systèmes cliniques

• Offrir de l’enseignement aux patients et aux proches aidants concernant les plans de traitement, les médicaments, les effets secondaires et l’auto‑administration, le cas échéant

• Assurer la traçabilité et la gestion des médicaments et participer aux audits, aux initiatives de qualité et aux activités de conformité de la clinique

• Collaborer avec les médecins, les pharmaciens et le personnel de la clinique afin de soutenir des soins coordonnés aux patients

• Respecter en tout temps les normes de prévention des infections, de sécurité et de qualité

• Participer à l’accueil, à la formation et au mentorat des nouveaux membres du personnel de la clinique, au besoin

Exigences de base

• Infirmier(ère) autorisé(e) (IA) avec inscription valide et en règle auprès de l’ordre provincial des infirmières et infirmiers applicable au Canada

• Diplôme ou combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience

• Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience infirmière pertinente, idéalement en perfusion, en soins ambulatoires ou dans un environnement clinique spécialisé

• Certification en perfusion ou expérience pratique démontrée en perfusion intraveineuse

• Certification RCR valide

Compétences et expérience souhaitées

• Expérience dans l’administration de produits biologiques, de traitements oncologiques ou de thérapies pharmaceutiques spécialisées

• Certification ACLS

• Expérience dans la gestion des effets indésirables liés aux perfusions

• Capacité à travailler de façon autonome dans un environnement clinique dynamique et en évolution rapide

• Solides compétences en évaluation clinique, en prise de décision et en enseignement aux patients

• Expérience avec les dossiers médicaux électroniques et les systèmes de documentation clinique

• Capacité à travailler dans plusieurs cliniques au sein d’une région définie

Déplacements, environnement de travail et exigences physiques

• Capacité à travailler sur place dans un environnement de clinique

• Des déplacements entre plusieurs cliniques de la région peuvent être requis

• Position debout prolongée, marche et dextérité manuelle requises pour l’insertion des IV et l’administration des médicaments

• Capacité de soulever et de déplacer du matériel et des fournitures cliniques au besoin

Le.la titulaire de ce poste aura à soutenir de façon quotidienne des clients internes et/ou externes à l’extérieur du Québec et/ou aux États-Unis. About the Role

The Infusion Nurse is responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered nursing care through the administration of intravenous and injectable specialty medications, including biologics, in an ambulatory clinic setting. This role supports patients throughout their treatment journey by conducting pre‑treatment assessments, safely administering therapies, monitoring adverse reactions, and providing patient education to promote independence and treatment adherence.

Using sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and therapeutic communication, the Infusion Nurse collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary partners to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care in accordance with provincial nursing standards, Health Canada guidelines, and organizational policies.

Our Base Pay Range for this position: $35-40 / hour

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct pre‑treatment patient assessments, including review of contraindications, medical history, and eligibility for therapy.

• Initiate and manage peripheral IV access and access central lines using sterile technique and best practices.

• Prepare, handle, and administer IV and injectable specialty medications in accordance with manufacturer, Health Canada, and nursing college standards.

• Monitor patients during and post‑infusion, identifying and responding to adverse events per medical directives.

• Document all patient care activities accurately within electronic patient records and clinical systems.

• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, side effects, and self‑administration when applicable.

• Maintain medication accountability and participate in audits, quality initiatives, and clinic compliance activities.

• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and clinic staff to support coordinated patient care.

• Uphold infection prevention, safety, and quality standards at all times.

• Participate in onboarding, training, and mentoring of new clinic staff as required.

Basic Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration and good standing with the applicable provincial College of Nurses in Canada.

• Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in infusion, ambulatory care, or specialty clinical settings.

• Infusion certification or demonstrated hands‑on IV infusion experience.

• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Skills / Experience:

• Experience administering biologics, oncology, or specialty pharmaceutical therapies.

• ACLS certification.

• Experience managing infusion‑related adverse events.

• Comfort working independently in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

• Strong clinical assessment, decision‑making, and patient education skills.

• Experience using electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.

• Ability to work across multiple clinic locations within a defined region.

Travel, Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work onsite in a clinic environment.

• May require travel to multiple clinic locations within the region.

• Prolonged standing, walking, and manual dexterity required for IV insertion and medication administration.

• Ability to lift and move clinical supplies and equipment as needed.

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.
