The Role
As an Infrastructure Cloud Architect for the Ministry of Defence in the Netherlands, you will design, deliver, and innovate large-scale IT projects to modernize military IT infrastructure. You act as a bridge between end-user functional needs and IT technical solutions, aligning with stakeholders and maintaining architectural integrity.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
- Documenting solutions.
- Guiding project and support teams during implementation.
- Ensuring integrated architectural consistency.
- Communicating technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
You will support the Domain Architect and be responsible for parts of the IT service design related to server, storage, network, middleware, and private cloud services.
Requirements and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as an IT Architect on large projects.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Familiarity with architecture models and methodologies.
- Technical leadership and teamwork abilities, with independent working capability.
- Innovative, strategic thinker with attention to risk and impact.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of private/public cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, databases, and software development.
- Up-to-date on industry technologies and trends.
Certifications Desired:
- Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Security
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- TOGAF 9 Certification
Workplace
Multiple locations within the Ministry of Defence in central Netherlands with partial remote work possible; occasional work at Kyndryl office in Hoofddorp.
Salary
Gross monthly salary range from €5,744 to €7,539, depending on skills and capabilities.
