Job Description
The Transmission, Distribution & Renewables group focuses on efficient and economical delivery of Power Transmission and Distribution (T&D) projects from conceptualization through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Your role within the team:
- Establish design criteria related to the area of assignment based on contractual requirements and good engineering practices.
- Design structural works including buildings, structures, and foundations.
- Prepare and get engineering calculations approved and archived in line with quality system procedures.
- Write technical specifications and supervise preparation of drawings.
- Prepare proposals, feasibility studies, conceptual designs, engineering estimates, and schedules.
- Collaborate with project teams across all project phases from conceptual design to close-out.
- Perform conceptual and peer reviews of engineering designs, drawings, and reports.

The ideal candidate:
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in computerized design of civil and structural infrastructure.
- Registered engineer in Quebec, Ontario, or British Columbia.
- Experience in power transmission & distribution facilities, renewable power plants, heavy industrial facilities.
- In-depth experience in design of buildings, steel, concrete, masonry structures per Canadian and U.S. codes.
- Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, DYNA6.1, PCA, MS Office; Catia or Revit is a plus.
- Fluent in English; French is an asset.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
