JOB DESCRIPTION:
An Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist is a specialized healthcare professional trained toassistphysicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures performed in the radiology department. These technologists play a crucial role in ensuring the safe andaccurateexecution of various interventional procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, and catheterizations, among others. The IR Technologist is a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who plays a pivotal role in interventional radiology procedures, combining technicalexpertisewith compassionate patient care tofacilitatesuccessful outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.
CALL: Oneweekend (Friday evening-Monday morning) and 4 weekdays (Monday-Thursday) every 12 weeks. Set call schedule.
EDUCATION:
· Graduate from an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
· ARRT isrequired.
· Must be licensed in the State of Vermont.
· Individual must accumulate 200 exams as outlined by the ARRT and become licensed in the modality by passing the Vascular-Interventional (VI) Radiography certification exam within24 monthsof completing orientation.
· This position requires verification of your college transcript. Please be prepared to provide acopy should you be invited foraninterview.
EXPERIENCE:
One year of clinical experience is highly recommended.
