The Junior Catastrophe Modeling Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and quantifying Chubb's North America Commercial Insurance exposure to natural catastrophe perils such as Hurricane, Earthquake, Severe Convective Storm, Flood, and Wildfires. Such analyses require creating datasets from various data sources, performing analyses using multiple models and aggregation tools, and communicating results to senior management. The role involves working in a time-bound environment with multiple stakeholders, prioritizing concurrent projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Underwriting, Actuarial, and Ceded Re. Responsibilities include analyzing and monitoring catastrophe risk via models and tools, ensuring data quality, providing quantitative reports to stakeholders, coordinating with modeling teams, responding to catastrophic events, and developing reporting capabilities. Qualifications required are 0-2 years of relevant experience in catastrophe modeling, familiarity with Commercial Property Insurance, proficiency with catastrophe modeling software (RiskLink preferred), geospatial tools (ArcGIS, QGIS), data manipulation skills (Excel, SQL, Python, VBA, R), strong mathematical/statistical knowledge, excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
