Position Overview:
Knowledge Management Steward serves as the accountable owner for domain knowledge health within the Knowledge Management System. This role operates within the Payments Learning COE and is responsible for governance, prioritization, lifecycle integrity, and cross-functional alignment of domain content. The role works with both human in the loop and AI-enabled resources to develop and sustain knowledge stores for impactful access in the flow of their work.
Role Objectives:
· Support domain knowledge health across the Knowledge Management System (accuracy, relevance, lifecycle integrity).
· Define what knowledge must exist vs. optional, using informatics and stakeholder feedback.
· Execute established KM governance standards.
· Manage intake, triage, and routing for knowledge-related requests.
· Drive timely SME review through lifecycle checkpoints and nudges for action (review, update, archive).
· Monitor and report on domain knowledge health.
· Escalate risks, gaps, and content conflicts to appropriate leadership.
· This is an individual contributor role Payments Learning team (50% transactional; 50% strategic).
Key Responsibilities:
Domain governance and standards: Reinforce knowledge management standards and best practices within the domain. Ensure every critical knowledge asset has clearly assigned subject matter experts. Lead quarterly Steward reviews to assess domain knowledge health.
Knowledge lifecycle accountability: Own lifecycle checkpoints (creation, validation, review cadence, archival). Trigger SME review cycles and ensure timely updates. Maintain domain-level visibility into lifecycle compliance.
Intake, Triage and Prioritization: Manage centralized intake for knowledge requests and updates. Assess business impact, urgency, and dependencies. Route requests to appropriate SMEs. Prevent unnecessary or redundant content creation.
Cross Functional Alignment: Own coordination of SME input for content updates, validation, and final approval. Partner with Product, Service Operations, Learning and other identified stakeholders across the enterprise to align knowledge with workflows and operating models.
System, Process Management: Ensure initiative-driven changes are reflected accurately and timely within the Knowledge Management System. Identify obsolete, duplicate, or conflicting content and drive resolution. Proactively surface systemic content risks or structural gaps and recommend corrective action. Partner with leaders and associates across the business to promote usage and adoption of AI-enabled tooling and Knowledge Management System.
Measurement and Continuous Improvement: Maintain Steward dashboard tracking for domain knowledge health. Monitor usage, engagement, and feedback trends (AI and href="mailto:talentacquisition@zelis.com?subject=Accessibility%20Support%20Request">talentacquisition@zelis.com.
