About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Marketing Decision Scientist to join our Growth Marketing team as a senior individual contributor. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong business intuition to uncover insights that drive smarter marketing investments.
You must have a strong understanding of incrementality measurement, A/B testing, attribution modeling, and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM). Your core responsibility is to dig into data, identify channel efficiency trends, automate the drill-down process and deliver actionable insights that help marketing leaders optimize spend and performance across channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale marketing data to uncover trends, diagnose performance shifts, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights into channel efficiency, investment effectiveness, and incrementality signals.
- Partner closely with channel owners (e.g., affiliate, search, display) to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Interpret results from experiments and attribution models and contextualize them for business decision-making.
- Build dashboards, reports, and deep-dive analyses using SQL and Python to support ongoing marketing strategy.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, decision science, or data science roles.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data exploration, analysis, and visualization.
- Experience in data visualization tools, like Tableau.
- Strong conceptual understanding of incrementality, causal inference, attribution modeling, and MMM.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Statistics, Data science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with tools like Robyn or CausalImpact.
- Experience working with marketing platforms (e.g., Naver, Google Ads, Meta).
- Background in e-commerce or performance marketing environments.
- Experience collaborating with data science and experimentation teams.
