Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer.
What you'll do:
The engineering leader will be responsible for enhancing manufacturing processes for machining, assembly and die cast production. The individual will manage standard work, improving manufacturing process capabilities, providing technical guidance and on hand support.
Provide support to process & manufacturing engineering and production; support and coordinate process trials, testing, experiments, and improvements, and ensure successful transfer of all projects from R&D to manufacturing.
Additional assignments and duties may be required.
Primary Responsibilities
• Supervise manufacturing engineers who are responsible for the assembly and test processes of products
Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions with cost analysis.Meet production and cost goals through diligent KPI's.Developing of DMAIC methodology in improvement projects.Coordinate manufacturing engineering activities. CNC machining process improvement.Supervises and assure to update the master PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) as needed.Define and generate required documentation in support of manufacturing products and processes aligned to OpEx.Oversee installation and operation of new systems to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.Develop and maintain SOP, best practice manual, product design & engineering guidelines andOther relevant documents to support smooth processes and technology implementation.Maintain close liaison with the Sales and Marketing function and end customers to review new business opportunities and support existing products, and also, as part of the Contract Review processReview customer returned units in lieu with Quality to identify root cause of the failure and if necessary implement permanent corrective action(s).Utilize problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why's, DMAIC) to identity root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Engineering to develop and deploy manufacturing strategies to support and improve processes.Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: Professional Degree in Engineering related field, or equivalent experience
Experience Required: More than 5 years in a technical engineering role, More than 3 years in an Engineering leadership role.Proven experience with CAD-CAM systems, CNC Machine programming, setup and operation. 2D and 3D and above drafting and modeling.Advanced English level.Knowledge of lean manufacturing system, tools like Kanban.CNC Machining experience#Li-SL4
