At Blue Origin, we seek skilled Avionics Technicians at all levels to support lunar operations within our space exploration initiatives. This role involves configuring production areas, operating precision tools, leading continuous improvement projects, and supporting manufacturing, integration, assembly, and testing of space flight hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up production work areas with necessary tools and equipment.
- Operate material handling and precision calibration tools.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for safety and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and assist in hardware assembly and installation.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces following 5S principles.
- Support efforts in production/manufacturing, integration/assembly & test, and electrical/mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
- Experience levels range from 0 to 8+ years depending on the technician level.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use precision tools.
- Physical ability to lift 50lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Preferred certifications include IPC/WHMA-A-620 and Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and locations, with potential travel up to 10%.
