Position: Machine Operator & Assembler
In this position, you will operate automated and semi-automated production machines to manufacture automotive batteries. Operators make minor adjustments during troubleshooting, recognize and diagnose machine problems, and participate in preventative maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and replacing small parts. Visual inspection and quality checks of machines and products are required.
Primary Duties:
- Operate machinery by controlling and adjusting machine settings; feed raw materials to semi-automated machines.
- Verify product quality and maintain records of approved and defective units.
- Clean equipment and surrounding areas between jobs.
- Follow safety, quality, and production specifications and instructions.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including 2nd and 3rd shifts.
- Ability to stand/walk long periods and work in hot environments.
- Physical capability to bend, twist, and kneel safely.
- Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills.
- Availability for overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment.
