About This Role
Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for performing multiple types of assembly work including mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role requires willingness to travel both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS), including areas eligible for hazard pay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work under general-close supervision in a team environment.
- Perform non-routine and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including cable assemblies and wiring harnesses.
- Use common hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Determine assembly and integration methods and sequences when complete information is not always available.
- Work from engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
- Fabricate, assemble, modify, or rework subassemblies and assemblies, and integrate system hardware.
- Participate in device teardown, removal, and site installation which may include extended overseas travel.
- Potential shift work including swing, second, and third shifts.
- Work overtime as required, potentially for extended periods.
- Use Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Close manufacturing order routing steps in Deltek Costpoint and generate Nonconforming Material Reports as needed.
- Assist in collecting data for Engineering Change Requests.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience working with electrical/mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Knowledge and experience working with engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
- Experience with hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Teamwork attitude is essential.
- Current passport desired and required for overseas travel when scheduled.
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend for long periods and lift 40 to 50 pounds without restrictions.
- Either possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Work Environment
Work is performed in subassembly shops, final assembly labs, and customer sites. Areas are climate controlled but may require working outside in various elements.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, stoop, and bend for long periods.
- Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb and work from ladders.
- Capability to work overtime as needed.

This role requires compliance with company security and data protection policies. Candidates must be U.S. citizens due to government contract requirements and be eligible for a DoD personal security clearance.
