Adjunct Faculty - Mathematics
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Spangdahlem, Germany for the Mathematics program at the Undergraduate School.
Required Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in Mathematics or related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional experience in Mathematics or related field.
- Preferably experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education.
- Local applicants only; must have legal status to work in Germany.
Adjunct Faculty Role:
- Engage students actively and motivate them to succeed.
- Guide students through problem- and project-based learning.
- Provide constructive feedback and assess student work effectively.
- Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and help connect concepts.
- Provide feedback to the program chair for curriculum improvements.

Salary is commensurate with experience, paid per credit hour with ranges:
- Non-PhD: $903 to $1,173 per credit hour.
- PhD: $931 to $1,215 per credit hour.
