The Opportunity

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced diesel mechanic to join us at Fulton Hogan here in Nelson. This is an exciting opportunity to join our hard-working Workshop team working on a large variety of vehicles and equipment. If you are passionate about machinery and can think outside the square, we want to hear from you. This role is based predominantly in our Nelson Workshop.

Role Accountabilities

• Understand and embrace our Living Safely approach.
• Take personal responsibility for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public and yourself.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant job and work instruction.
• Have a positive attitude towards integrated technology systems and be able to use an iPad (training provided).
• Hold a New Zealand WOF inspectors’ qualification. (desirable but not essential)

What you’ll bring to the table

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic – preferably with up to 4 years’ experience
• Current NZ Driving Licence – Classes 2-5, W,T,R & F (desirable but not essential as full training will be provided)
• Be able to work both independently and as part a team
• Have an unwavering commitment towards living safely
• Be a reliable individual with a strong work ethic
