Medical Assistant or LPN - Primary Care

Position Summary: Seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for primary care at AMG Delavan - Family Medicine. This full-time role involves assisting physicians and advanced practice clinicians with patient care, performing clinical procedures, administering medications, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and room patients by obtaining vital signs and updating health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures such as strep tests and wound cultures.
• Assist with medical procedures including pelvic exams and allergy testing.
• Administer routine medications under approved orders.
• Schedule and follow-up on necessary tests, procedures, and referrals.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team and patients for smooth clinic flow.
• Perform clinical support tasks like suture removal, phlebotomy, EKG, and spirometry.
• Adhere to patient age-specific care standards and clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

• LPN: Active state license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; completion of accredited practical nursing program.
• Medical Assistant: BLS certification; completion of accredited medical assistant program or 2 years of related experience within the last 5 years.

Skills & Abilities:

• Competency in routine and complex clinical skills within scope of practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Working Conditions: Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 pounds, sitting, standing, and exposure to workplace hazards with appropriate protective equipment.

Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:45 am - 5:15 pm, and every other Thursday 7:45 am - 1:15 pm.

Compensation: Pay range $21.45 - $32.20 for Medical Assistant or $23.65 - $35.50 for LPN, based on qualifications and experience. Includes benefits such as 401(k) contributions, education assistance, paid time off, health benefits, and potential sign-on bonus.
